4-H has been a wonderful thing for these girls - now 4th generation 4-Hers. Grandma Hacking was a leader when the program was first introduced, and Mom participated in her youth with cooking and sewing projects, and winning a trip to a 4-H convention in Chicago for raising the most sugar beets per acre that year. Then she was our leader through hundreds of projects in cooking, sewing, horse, health, photography, forestry, art, geology, money management...and I can't remember what else, but I do remember that Renee', Annette and I usually had about a dozen projects each for fair time. I think some of you other kids did a lot of horse 4-H - Renee' and Janine each won a Morgan Horse. Cool stuff. Not too many years from now, it will be another generation's turn.
The legacy continues...
