Dad's doing great!

We went to Dad's to visit yesterday and he looks great! Like Mariann said, he can drive now and I think this helped his attitude quite a bit. He seemed more upbeat, less emotional when we said goodbye and was talking about things he was going to do in the next month-instead of talking about things in the past or present. Over breakfast we told him about some of his adventures (or misadventures) while in the hospital and some of the people who came to see him. He only remembers bits and pieces about the whole thing-so if you remember something about his hospital stay-be sure to call or write him and tell him about it.
We also stopped to see Laura and she said she is back to work as of last week and she showed off her scars, bruises, scrapes and gorgeous green, yellow and black ankle. She sees the OS today-who happens to be Dr. Liljenquist's son to see if she gets a cast, pin or whatever to make sure it heals. Her house is very nice and Dave and Gage were busy putting up trim inside. It's on a beautiful location on the Snake River near Roberts.
Eric called a few days ago from Nova Scotia, Canada and said how beautiful it was. They have been patrolling the Eastern seaboard heading North and will now be coming back down the coast to Port in NJ for a few weeks and then off to the south for the winter. He is enjoying his time on the boat and seems to be very conscientious about his job.
Sage made the Varsity Volleyball team at West Side and has been busy busy with practive and games and tournaments. She placed 4th at the Idaho State Fair in FFA for the Livestock Judging out of 139 kids across the state. She says she likes the school and the kids have been real nice to her.
