Update on Dad

Day 16-
Just a quick update to let you know that Dad was taken off the ventilator last week and was moved to the 4th Floor at EIRMAC to the Cardiac Ward where they are taking good care of him. The anesthesia is still in his system and so he is not always aware of where he is or who comes to visit but he is making good progress. We have asked that only immediate family members come to visit until further notice so that he has a chance to rest and get the drugs out of his system and get back to being Dad.
The family contact for the next few weeks will be Melinda who calls the hospital every day to get an update from the Charge Nurse regarding his medical condition and then passes this information along to the other kids through our telephone tree. Deonn has agreed to keep the Blog updated as she gets information so we can keep our extended family and friends informed. Thanks to everyone for their calls, visits, prayers and love extended.
